1872 version

This is the earliest version of the symphony. It has only recently been published in an edition by William Carragan, in 2005. It differs most notably from subsequent versions in that the order of the Scherzo and Andante are changed, the Scherzo preceding.

At the time of writing, Professor Carragan has published, or made available for performance, a total of five editions of this symphony, which have been recorded.
