Священная война (Sacred War) is one of the most famous Soviet songs associated with the Second World War.

Composition dates are disputed: official sources claim that lyrics were written and published right after the beginning of Great Patriotic War - on 1941-06-24, and music was composed on the same day. Various alternative historians, such as Виктор Суворов, refer to various facts that show that composition was going on since 1941-02, so "just 1941" would be the most accurate date to use.
