Annotation

This hymn tune is often misattributed to John Roberts, “Ieuan Gwyllt” (1822–1877), but in fact it first appeared in Caniadau y Cysegr, published in 1839 by John Roberts, Henllan (1807–1876) (see Wikipedia article).
