Why

This song was almost "written for me." Many believe the lyrics are some of Michael's most profound, having been received by him in a dream. Musically we tried to create a global feel by the use of Uillean pipes, recorders, and ethnic percussion. John's cello work was deeply moving. We also branched into some vocal work that sounded like a strange combination of the Beach Boys and a Russian Orthodox choir. — J.M.T
