From her very first 78 rpm release in 1950 to material from the little known records she cut in the mid-60s, this compilation collects together classic and rare son, guaracha and merengue from the first fifteen years of Cruz's career that she recorded for Seeco records. Set includes a 24 page deluxe booklet featuring reprints of 12 rare record covers, 4000 word essay from Latin music writer Pablo "DJ Bongohead" Yglesias and journalist Joy Howard and full details on original source albums.
