Issued on CD in 1996 by Stax, catalog no. 74. This is the second in the "x000 Volts of Stax" series, and is not to be missed by anyone with even the slightest interest in the golden age of soul music. The quality of these takes that did not make it to vinyl back the point out the sheer volume of incredible music that was produced in the late 60s and early 70s. I believe that there are 5 in the series now. 4000 also included some cuts from the Satellite label.
