Annotation

There are several recordings of the Brahms with Oistrakh and Kondrashin, and it's not entirely clear which this one is. The details at http://www.arkivmusic.com/classical/album.jsp?album_id=206314 do not give a recording date, and specify the orchestra as "USSR State Symphony Orchestra, USSR Radio/TV Large Symphony Orchestra ". But which?
The booklet accompanying the Italian boxset, the recording is from 1952.
