The Revue Collection

Annotation

This Album has been released many times on different labels. The "Sleeping Giant Music International Ltd" publishing division of UK Record Company, Prestige Elite, has simply title it "HOWLIN' WOLF IN CONCERT" and is the version I own. Sundown and Music Avenue are just another two labels releasing this material and they all share the same track titling (incorrectly at that).
"Tell Me What I've Done" is titled "I Didn't Mean To Hurt Your Feelings"
"Shake For Me" is titled "Shake It For Me"
"May I Have A Talk With You" is "Love Me" and so on. The music was recorded on the "American Folk Blues European tour of 1964. The quality of the music from a perfomance point of view is very good and sound quality wise can vary a bit. I have had the material on two different labels and found the one I kept to be the better of the two, but opinions may vary on this, Audiophiles are Audiophiles. Anyway, if you are a fan of Howling Wolf, and I am, you should get a copy of this material wherever you can find it and work from there.
