Une compilation qui reprend 60 titres du coffret 6 CD et n'offre que dix morceaux vraiment rares : trois chansons par Jacqueline François, deux par Renée Lebas (Ne te retourne pas et Au revoir mon enfance), une par Hélène Martin, par Lucienne Vernay, par Mouloudji (Une bonne paire de claques), par The Blue Stars et par Les Frères Jacques (Le Tango interminable des perceurs de coffres-forts interprété en public avec la chute réécrite par Boris Vian spécialement pour cette occasion).
L'adaptation Tangage et roulis (paroles françaises en fait de Bernard Michel) que l'on trouve dans ce digibook n'a rien à voir avec Boris Vian, cependant elle a même donné son titre au deuxième CD. Erreur fâcheuse...
