The “ZSP” prefix on the A‐side runout groove (and on the label) is Columbia Records’ code for 7″ single mono 45 rpm. The “ZSS” prefix on the b‐side runout groove (and on the label) is Columbia Records’ code for 7″ single stereo 45 rpm.

This is an edited 3:58 version of “Blinded by the Light” (with the last three lines of the penultimate verse and the complete final verse omitted), in mono and stereo formats.
Approximately 150–200 were distributed in picture sleeves from Laurel Canyon, the rest were distributed by Columbia in stock sleeves.
