Notes
Welcome in 2007, a time at which dead singers perform again with the London Symphony Orchestra!
This release, a Concord Jazz felony in partnership with Starbucks, is assembled from various cuts sourced from the late Fitzgerald period on Pablo.
Some of the tracks, though, are simply (remarkably) remastered, and don't feature this (über-heretical to the purists) overdubbing (Frankenstein-like) experiment.
Concord claims that all material is unreleased sounds pretty much like the rest - questionable - and it's yet unknown what exactly is new in here (if anything), hence the completists, for now, have no choice but buy it.
As for the length/price ratio, its far from qualifying into budget, but, as said above, the remarkable engineering work justifies it pretty much.
Being warned about all this, it's up to you to decide if this is worth it or not...
