Take Five at Basin Street East

~ Release by Carmen McRae with Dave Brubeck (see all versions of this release, 3 available)

Annotation

Recording Location: "Basin Street East", NYC, USA
Recording Date: 1961/09/06
Additional:
There is some controversy whether the last two tracks were recorded on that date, or earlier in 58 (I tend to think they are from the same 61 session).
Initially issued as 12"LP, the last two tracks were possibly released as an EP (Columbia 42292) though this is unconfirmed.
Rumors about another (late) Columbia reissue of this, as A-9116 (possibly Columbia Special Products?).
TODO:
Personnel: Carmen McRae (v), Paul Desmond (as), Eugene Wright (b), Dave Brubeck (p), Joe Morello (d)
