The World Premiere of The World Upside Down was on November 14, 16 & 17, 1990
at Het Muziektheater, AMsterdam and was performed by The Noordhollands Philharmonisch
Orkest, conducted by Glen Cortese. The composer would like to thank Pieter Hofmanfor
making these performances possible.

The New York premiere was on February 15 & 17, 1991 at City Center and was performed
by The New York Chamber Sinfonia, conducted by Glen Cortese. The World Upside Down
was recorded in February, 1991 at Clinton Sound Studios, NYC and mixed at Sorcerer
Sound, NYC (with thanks to the Mary Flagler Cary Trust). Recording produced by Wharton
Tiers, mixed by Patrick Derivaz.

THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN is dedicated to Raoul Vaneigem and his "Book of Pleasures",
from which the title is taken.

Commissioned by E. Monte Motion, Inc., Elisa Monte, Artistic Director (with the assistance
of a major grant from Meet The Composer).
