The Chronicle of Jazz

Annotation

Notes

A hastily assembled budget two cd set slapping together unrelated takes (yeah, that's jazz...), without much logic or packaging effort.
This kind of stuff usually come from shady budget warehouses looking for quick and dirty money - obviously, majors can do it also.
Unless your budget is on a string and you can find it at a bargain price, or you're completely ignorant about jazz and just want to try out, stay away (one must admit, though, that this set contains a handful of legendary tunes).

Issues

It's unknown if #11 is from 17 March 1936 (Decca stuff, possible, public domain in Europe) or from 14 April 1960 (somewhat unlikely, Verve material). If you own this and the sleeve provides this information, you can contribute it here!
