Symphony no. 2 in C minor

~ Release by Anton Bruckner; Süddeutsche Philharmonie, Hans Zanotelli (see all versions of this release, 1 available)

Annotation

This is another falsely described recording originating from the fraudster Alfred Scholz who used fake orchestra and conductor names for this and hundreds of other recordings he sold to budget labels. For example, this identical recording is also released under a different budget label with as: a different fake orchestra (Philharmonia Slavonica) and fake conductor (Albert Lizzio) release.

Recent research by the Bruckner Society of America has determined that this recording of the Bruckner Symphony No. 2 was in fact performed by Erich Schmid and the Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra (Sinfonieorchester Des Südwestfunks).
