"The Tears of a Clown" was previously released as "Make It Happen" in 1967.

In 1970 the track "The Tears of a Clown" was issued as a single, and charted at number-one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. As a result, the LP "Make It Happen" was reissued as "The Tears of a Clown".
