Akshay Kumar returns to the big screen after his massive hit Singh Is Kinng with Chandni Chowk To China, playing a chef who learns martial arts. India's first film to be bankrolled by Warner Bros has seen the stars of the film jetting around the world, but is the soundtrack as high flying?

The tightly packed album - six original tracks and two remixes - brings something new with each song and diversity is its strongest selling point. While most Bollywood soundtracks feature only one composer, this features many, including Bohemia, the Punjabi rapper who features with Akshay Kumar on the hit or miss C C 2 C.

The first track, S.I.D.H.U, is belted out by Kailash Kher complete with sitars, tablas and harmonium, depicting Akshay Kumar's character's upbringing in the village of Chandni Chowk. It's a brilliant singalong, and a great karaoke song too. Try replacing the 'Sidhu' with a name of your own choice, much fun to be had!

The Chinese influence is a great touch on the album and evident in many tracks, including the title track, which is so catchy it borders on annoying. But the funny lyrics, great vocals and head nodding beats make it a sure-fire hit. The funky dance remix is an added treat too; in some ways is better then the original, with its glow stick raving hedonistic beats.

Romantic melody Tere Naina is beautifully composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and the pairing of Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal is inspired as this track sweeps you away. It's the track you'll have on repeat, daydreaming about love. It's a perfect Bollywood track and a throwback to the songs of yesteryear. What's more it's clearly the best on the album.

This is a refreshing soundtrack, and with only one dodgy track (C C 2 C with Akshay Kumar rapping); superb production and great vocals on the big tracks make it a great listen.
