Olivia Ong is easily one of Singapore's most prominent singers, and her album "Olivia" clearly shows why it is so. A fair amount of her all her songs (not just those in "Olivia") are based on the theme of love, and have a slow rhythm. Olivia has a distinctive sharp, yet slightly airy voice. There is not much difference from her other albums in terms of theme. The first track in "Olivia", "You and Me", was used in the Singaporean 2013 romantic law drama "Sudden" , and I have to praise the nuance expressed in the song itself. In fact, "You and Me" is personally my favourite track in the entire album. Fans of Olivia Ong (and music enthusiasts in general) will not be disappointed with this album, although overall it is nothing groundbreaking compared to her previous ones. As of late, she has sung the theme song for "Our Homeland", the third installment in the popular Singaporean drama trilogy "The Journey", and one of the songs in the original soundtrack of "Crescendo", which was widely promoted prior to its release.
