The Danger Zone

The first CD pressing of this album contained two songs with features and/or production by Lord Finesse. About a year prior, Finesse was interviewed to say there would "never" be another posthumous Big L album, despite L's estranged father (now deceased) attempting to seize the rapper's masters & unreleased material. Lord Finesse's notable absence from other pressings of the album seems to signal a desire for disinvolvement with further Big L releases, even ones sanctioned by L's estate. Both of Big L's surviving brothers (now deceased) & now Columbia Records have continued to put out "authorized" Big L releases in the years since.
