The final album of Nazareth from the '80's entitled Snakes and ladders from 1989 is another example of good hard rock album but as a whole something is missing. There is no more that magic atmosphere from mid to late '70's albums like Hair of the Dog and Expect no mercy, is 10 times weaker than previous one Cinema from 1986. Nothing really to talk more about this album, some good to mediocre pieces, but as a whole is not a bad one but less enjoyble than other Nazareth realeases over the years. Anyway the good pieces are : The key and Donna - Get off that Crack (I trace here the old Nazareth in sound and power),Back to School and the fine cover of Janis Joplin Piece of My Heart. So, a good album, but don't expect to something really great.
