MCA Victor, Inc. (Japanese holding company, active 1991–1997; do not use as release label!)
MCA Victor, Inc. was a Japanese record company established in 1991. It was a joint-venture of Victor Musical Industries, Inc. and MCA Music Entertainment. Among its imprints was "MCA". Following the formation of the Universal Music Group, the company was renamed to Universal Victor, Inc. in July 1997. (source: http://www.discogs.com/label/135389 )
The actual label for releases by Nirvana and Teenage Fanclub for a couple of years was "David Geffen Company", I would think. Nowadays, under the ownership of Sony, MCA and DGC have been subsumed into Geffen Records.
