Created by Bob Weinstock.
Initially named New Jazz, then renamed Prestige after a few time.
The name New Jazz was later revived by Prestige themselves as a subsidiary.
Also created subsidiaries Swingsville, Bluesville, Moodsville.
Rudy Van Gelder recorded most of the stuff.
Was sold to Fantasy and disbanded.
Was known as the junkies label.
