The project has deep roots, being initiated in 1999, in Braşov, Romania and named for a while comitetul central. Under this name was released a video for the track called funky way (actually called just Funky) which also appears on some compilations.
Concerts followed, in various locations from Romania (WebClub, Club A, TmBase, 2 Mai, Cluj, MCM Romania launch party, MTV Romania launch party etc.)

In 2002, new members were involved, and the project name became first Smokers’ Delight and then Aria Urbana, aiming to clearly define a representative musical path, eclecticaly mixing drum and bass, breakbeat, trip-hop and dub.

A demo was released, available also online (www.ariaurbana.ro) and there’s a lot of hard work to do ‘till the live show and the first album are done, in the case of finding a record label.
Revolutia Spirituala (Spiritual Revolution) was well received by the electronic media, the generated hype gathering new and diverse fans with every live performance.

The musical background and the previous musical experiences of each band member is very relevant to the actual sound leading to this interesting fusion of styles: Dani and dERMON came from rock, Toni and DJ Nemo are hip-hop based.

Regarding the side-projects, dERMON is currently working on a solo trip-hop and down-beat album (with a web-release selftitled Against). He’s also planning to release a remix album, a first track being India (dERMON remix) found also on the best before 05 album from Omul cu Sobolani.
