A great trombonist, Mr Priester played with an extremely wide range of artists, and was at ease with an even wider range of genres.
Featuring in a number of historical sessions (Africa Brass, Liberation Music Orchestra, and many others), he's still somewhat under-rated.
Listeners looking for his own (few) sessions will be delighted by his debut record Keep Swingin' (featuring Sam Jones and Elvin Jones).
