Little Richard and His Band

The story of this session group is complicated.
Two first Little Richard's sessions for Specialty (13 & 14 September 1955, 9 titles) was credited in Specialty session files to this group. Several singles and EP's with these titles (including the hits like "Tutti Frutti"), issued before the Little Richard's LP albums (credited to sole Little Richard) was also credited to Little Richard and His Band.
Next the Specialty session files do not mention this group, which recorded in fact many titles during several sessions from 7 February until 16 October 1956. (At the same time Little Richard recorded for Specialty now with The Upsetters, now with other session musicians.) Nevertheless some Specialty releases with the recordings from these 1956 sessions (e.g., the single SP-734 of 1983) were credited to Little Richard and His Band.
Almost all posterior releases credit the recordings by Little Richard and His Band (just as by Little Richard and The Upsetters) to sole Little Richard. That creates a problem for the database.
