Skandal (hip hop)

Drew Turnbull also known as Skandal is an up and coming rapper from South London in the UK.

Born in Portsmouth 1985, Skandal and his family had moved to Forest Hill, South East London before his first birthday where he would go on to spend the better part of his childhood. After moving around a lot for most of his teenage years and a small period incarcerated, Skandal settled down in the New Cross area of London where he would go on to meet local Hip Hop artists and a school of talent at Deal Real Records in the west end of London every friday night before its closure. It was the latter that helped Skandal to hone his skills from jumping in ciphers and participating on the open mic. He currently lives in the south-west side of London.

Skandal is mainly a Hip Hop artist though he sites Grime as an influence. He also works with artists from the Grime scene, the most noteworthy being Little Dee Of Roll Deep and Faith SFX. He has supported Jedi Mind Tricks, Styles P, Raekwon, Immortal Technique, Souls of Mischief, Guru and R.A The Rugged Man at venues across the country and abroad and with spins on every major radio station in the UK, Skandal quickly cemented himself as a respected artist of the urban scene.
