The band released their first offering in the spring of 1999 with a three song self titled demo disc that was never intended for the masses. However, the desire by their fans to have something tangible was overwhelming and the band began to sell these demos as fast as they could be produced. With the self, titled demo available the band began to expand their already growing fan base and to spark interest from area radio. (Edit: The self titled first album has "RTLA" printed on it as well)
The Green House Effect. With eleven songs of real music that will take the listener on a roller coaster ride of emotion. Two of these songs have been a main stay on WQLZ’s 92.7 Bandemonium show. Time to Shine and Falling have both held the number one slot for numerous weeks on the top five countdown. High energy and a passion to perform is the best way to describe Lidlifter’s live performance. The band has a desire to execute at a higher level every time they take the stage. With a growing number of live shows through out the Midwest Lidlifter has shared the stage with a wide variety of acts including… Cold, Non Point, V-Shape Mind, Mighty Side Show, The Pimps and The Killer Dwarfs. Taken individually, they are four talented musicians and songwriters passionate about their craft. As a group, they’re unstoppable.

Scott Lecocqs vocals are aggressive and impassioned. He has a distinct growl that still manages to retain his sense of melody.
Shane Osterholt’s fingers are a whirlwind on the bass, laying down complex rhythms that showcase his talents while still maintaining the groove.
Scott House’s guitar work is the perfect counterpart to Shane’s bass lines. His riffs are in constant motion and the ebb and flow of the guitar lines helps to establish the emotion and intensity of each song.
Dennis Sheedy’s intricate drum patterns provide a solid backbone and foundation for the others to build their melodies on. He’s a workhorse behind the kit…never tiring, never faltering.

"In the middle of nowhere!" That's just the place to discover a new musical revolution that could change the face of rock music, as we know it. Travel through the endless fields of corn and dark winding roads to the infamous "Green House" and you will hear a sound like no other coming from within. Resonating from the core are dynamic pounding percussion, incredibly complex bass lines, phenomenal guitar layering and texture, and a remarkably undeniable voice that resonates above this wall of sound. The revolution is LIDLIFTER.
