Gypsy Jazz Guitarist

Excellent examples of the guitar style of Jimmy Rosenberg may be found on the live recordings made at the New York Jazz Festival in the year 2000, on the album NY Jazz Festival: Live at Birdland. This event was conceived by Ettore Stratta and Pat Philips as a tribute to the renowned gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt (1910-1953), where Rosenberg was one of an elite group of musicians in the gypsy jazz genre, including guitarists Biréli Lagrène, Babik Reinhardt, Frank Vignola, jazz violinist Regina Carter, and many others.

Evidently, Jimmy Rosenberg "chooses to live a traditional gypsy life – in a caravan, without an address" [Refined Records Bio], which perhaps explains the relative paucity of web-based resources, as well as the incongruous relationship between his talent, and his discography.
