Church of Misery is a Japanese band that plays traditional doom metal. Death, murder, serial killers and mass murderers have been a big part of the band's lyrical and artistic themes from early on, as well as 70's influences poster graphics and art.

Their main musical influeces come from proto-metal bands like Black Sabbath and Pentagram, but also newer doom bands have had some influence.
