In 1984 he started working for Columbia Schallplatten GmbH in Frankfurt and took care of the dance & black music range. He is also founder of the "Dance Pool" label - Europe's first dance music orientated label run by a major label. In 1987 he founded "Logic Records" together with Luca Anzilotti, Michael Münzing and Matthias Martinsohn. In 1989 he switched to Sony Music (formerly CBS) and became a marketing manager.
