Gregory Golub is an Israeli composer, jazz pianist, and songwriter. Born in the USSR, he is recognized for fusing jazz, contemporary classical, and poetic influences in his work. Both improvisational and melodic aspects are central to his music, while his lyrics and writings reflect a philosophical outlook on life.

Gregory is a self-taught pianist from the age of 12, later receiving formal musical education in Russia and Ukraine. He participated in jazz festivals in Russia, receiving an excellence prize for best original jazz compositions.

Golub has lived in Israel since 1990, where he has written and composed numerous multi-genre works, songs, and philosophical and poetic texts. In 2004, his album Idioms was released, featuring original instrumental jazz compositions, piano and vocal improvisations.

Over the years, Gregory has assembled and performed six solo programs based on his original instrumental and jazz compositions, songs, and poems, and has appeared on various TV and radio programs.

The album Jazz Aftertaste (2023) includes 12 original jazz compositions in various genres—from blues and boogies to electronic and Latin music—all composed and recorded by Gregory Golub. The album’s unifying theme is the author's lasting love of jazz, the charm of improvisation, and devotion to creativity.

On May 20, 2023, Gregory Golub presented his new solo program Jazz Aftertaste in Tel Aviv.

New jazz single: Not Knowing What the Future Holds (2025) — a musical reflection on the madness of the moment, performed live on piano and synth bass.
