Boney, as he is more commonly known, has been DJing for the last decade. He is one of the few DJ's on the current circuit who has been around the dance music scene since it's very beginning.

He started DJing in 1989 when he and the now Colours promoter Ricky Magowan established their own night called 'The Cru Club' playing Hip-Hop, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Disco & House, influenced by the likes of Jeff Young, Colin Curtis, Graeme Park and Mike Pickering (who incidently was quoted rating Boney as one of his favourite DJ's).

Boney's musical tastes have always been broad, his uncompromising music policy secured him a residency with Streetrave in 1989 playing at venues such as Prestwick Airport (Eurodance) and at Ayr Ice Rink to 3,000 people, as house music developed Streetrave became firstly Salsa and then Colours, Boney remained at the helm. He played to 3,500 clubbers at the Colours flagship event Live in the Capital alongside Carl Cox and Pete Tong and later to 5,000 at Glasgow's contemporary Tramway Theatre joining Sasha and John Digweed.

These days Boney likes to play chunky British and American House & Disco cut ups which prove to win the crowd over time and time again, he has residencies at Glasgow's Arches, Edinburgh's Club Mercado, he is also a regular guest at Glasgow's Alaska and East Kilbride's Plush, has played at world renowned venues such as Pacha Ibiza, Ministry of Sound London, Lush Port Rush, Manumisson Ibiza, Shindig Newcastle, Middlesborough Arena and Glasgow's Tunnel. He has also appeared regularly on Radio Forth and Tay FM, this summer he will be broadcasting a show for Electronica on Radio Scotland .

October 1998 seen Boney (and Jon Mancini) mix a cover mount CD for M8 magzine'Nu Skool Classics' to coincide with the 'Nu Skool Tour' - a 17 date tour around the best clubs in Britain.

Summer 1999 sees Boney pack his bags and head off to the sunshine island of Ibiza during July & August, where he will be resident for Colours at the world famous Es Paradis, San Antonio playing alongside some of the best DJ's in the world.

As if thats not enough Boney's career has not simply been restricted to DJing, in 1995 he started Sugarcube Recordings, record label which has released 13 records to date.

With a relentless passion for music and his experience of the decks, Boney's reputation will continue to flourish.
