Mystical singer Lindie Lila started singing and playing the guitar since she can remember and wrote her first song when she was 9. On leaving school she studied Jazz at the Technicon Pretoria.
She fell in love with the art of Middle Eastern Dance and after 5 years of dancing she started teaching belly dance in her own studio and performed as a professional dancer. In this period she started writing music extensively and in 2006 she traded her dancing career to become a fulltime singer/songwriter.
Since 2005 she has performed professionally and shared the stage with people like DNA Strings, Jan Blom, Karin Zoid, Malaika and Arno Carstens. She opened shows for Dozi, Gian Groen, Luna and many more. In 2006 she toured the country with Jason Tamba. She is the first Middel Eastern dancer to have danced to her own composed music at the SA Belly dance festival in 2007.
