The Florida based death metal band Solstice was formed in 1990 by guitarist Dennis Munoz, drummer Alex Marquez and vocalist / guitarist Rob Barrett, they split up in 1992 after the release of their first album 'Solstice'. Reformed for a first time in 1995 released a second Album 'Pray' before splitting again in 1997, reformed a second time in 2000 only to fade away the same year. Finally reformed in 2006 with a new album apparently completed and due for release in March 2009
