Jazz trombonist and singer Joseph R. Harris, born in Sedalia, Missouri. Worked with Joe Haymes, Frankie Trumbauer, Ben Pollack, Bob Crosby, Benny Goodman, Spud Murphy, Pee Wee Erwin, Eddie Miller, and others.
Not to be confused with the New Orleans trombonist Joseph Dennis Harris, born in Lutcher, Louisiana on 1909-4-21, who led bands in the 1920s.
