Annotation

Singer/Songwriter for the Celtic/Tex-Mex folk band, The Mollys, McCallion's songs earned her a loyal international following among critics and fans as she toured the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Italy from 1990-2003. Although often compared favorably to Lucinda Williams and other leading female writers, McCallion's poetic, sharp takes on life lived small also bring to mind Tom Waits' dark, quirky tales. McCallion released a self-titled solo CD in 2004 and continues touring and performing as a solo artist.
