Annotation

Hailing from Wales and Harrow and consisting of three brothers and two drifters, Rogues are brothers Pearse MacIntyre (guitar/vocals), John MacIntyre (bass/backing vocals), Tom MacIntyre (drums) and extended family Sam James (guitar/vocals) and Patrick Fraser Stansbie (synths/backing vocals).

Rogues were formed in August 2008. A few months prior Sam James (guitar/vocals) moved in with Pearse MacIntyre (guitar/vocals) and they began writing songs. They were joined in time by Patrick Fraser- Stansbie (Synths), John MacIntyre (bass) and Tom MacIntyre (drums). Influenced by Bowie, U2, Klaxons and Prince, strange pop songs were soon emerging and after a little myspace hype bonanza they played their first gig in September 08.

Combining new wave atmospherics with upbeat dance grooves to create original, ethereal pop music Rogues’ pivotal debut single and live shows have generated a storm of interest gaining support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq, John Kennedy, Huw Stevens, NME and The Fly and have established an ever-growing legion of followers.

Rogues have toured supporting Iglu and Hartly, have done the NME Awards Tour, their own headline tour and have also played Radio 1 Introducing (Glastonbury), V Festival, and The Isle of Wight Festival.

Their first release 'Not So Pretty' a limited 300 copies release on 50 Bones (Little Boots, We Have Band, The Virgins etc) was released in March 2009 and rapidly sold out. Rogues also reached no. 7 on Hype Machine with a remix of the track by Feed Me.

‘Not So Pretty’ was playlisted on NME Radio and XFM as well as receiving widespread airplay across Radio 1 and 6Music (where they were made band of the week in the lead up to release), Q Radio and much more.

Rogues have already been played on radio by Zane Lowe, Steve Lamacq (whom they did a live Radio 1 session for), John Kennedy and Huw Stephens.

Rogues return this November with the release of a four track EP entitled ‘Widows' and look set to go from strength to strength.
