Dawn (60s female solo singer (NOT Tony Orlando's group))

~ Group

Very little information about this artist. According to the "One Kiss" box set, and the Rhino "Girl Group Sounds" box set liners, she was born in Philadelphia, and other than the single "I'm Afraid They're All Talking About Me", she also recorded a jingle for Doublemint chewing gum, before disappearing again into obscurity.

Some other information of interest on that one hit (more appropriate for AR, but until someone tracks down the actual single, there's no track to attach it to): I'm Afraid They're All Talking About Me by Dawn (not the Tony Orlando 70s group), is written by Doug Morris and Eliot Greenberg, the guys who also wrote Sweet Talking Guy for The Chiffons (and Eliot Greenberg was co-founder of Laurie Records). I'm Afraid They're All Talking About Me was also covered by Thee Milkshakes related duo Mickey & Ludella.
