Go Guitar! Records is proud to announce the release of ’63 Burnout’s debut CD entitled “Trouble at the Speedway.”

Influenced heavily by 60’s/70’s rock music, surf and rockabilly, ‘63 Burnout plays original, hard driving, hot roddin’ instro ROCK music from Seattle, Washington. Searing guitar licks are provided by Thom Beckman who writes most of the trio’s material. The rhythm section is filled out by Jim Freeman on bass and Rodd Karp on drums.

Here’s what they’re saying around the scene:

Intense, relentless, raucous, and superb. Amazing!
You gotta hear this band!
- Phil Dirt, Reverb Central, Santa Cruz CA

"63 Burnout has a killer rock instro sound that takes the finest elements from Link Wray, Davie Allen, and Dick Dale and churns it into unique and instantly accessible tunes."
- DJ Michael “Zombo” Devine, Pittsburgh PA

If you like rock guitar instrumentals that reside on the wild and super-tough side life - man, you absolutely will not be disappointed. These tunes satisfy the savage beast.
- DWM Music Iowa City, Iowa

“Trouble at the Speedway” has a total of 14 tracks staking claim to large chunk of territory from the instro rock genre. 12 tunes are original numbers, including hardcore rockers like Nashville Stomp and Skull Shifter. The band also shows it’s more melodic side with songs like the melancholy “Drag the Lake” and acoustic “Pin Up Girl.” Covers of the surf classics “Pipeline” and “Sleepwalk” fill out the collection.

What you hear on this album is pretty much what you get with ’63 Burnout. Recorded in less than 2 days at Studio Litho in Seattle’s Fremont district, the band strived to create the same sound and energy you would hear in one of their live performances.

Since releasing the album in late 2007, the band has been getting quite a bit of attention by makingit on several artist of the year and album of the year Top 10 and 20 lists from radio stations playing music produced by indie rockers. “Trouble At The Speedway” has been getting air play on 4 continents, including North America, South America, Europe and Australia.
