Zombie Inc. (Austrian death metal band)

Zombie Inc. were formed in summer of 2009 when guitarist Gerald Huber and Wolfgang Rothbauer had an idea to form a unique project with the coolest musicians they can catch for it. Both grew up with 90’s death metal stuff, and so the musical direction was quickly clear. They approached Austria's death metal legend vocalist Martin Schirenc, drummer Tomasz Janiszewski and bass player Daniel Lechner who was later replaced by Martin Arzberger, with the idea to form an early 90's sounding old school death metal band. The band members already knew each other since a long time as they shared lots of stages world wide with their previous and present bands like Disbelief, Hollenthon, Pungent Stench, Belphegor, Fleshcrawl, Debauchery, Lacrimas Profundere, a.o.

In 2010 they started the songwriting, inspired by bands like Carcass, Entombed, Autopsy, Dismember, Obituary, Deicide, Edge of Sanity and Gorefest, for their old school death metal debut album. At the end of 2010 the band had enough material for a full length album. After recording the songs at Martin Schirenc's studio based in Vienna, called „Vato Loco studio“, the album was mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound Sweden! After the full-concept „Zombie“ was fulfilled, they sent a demo-version to Massacre Records. Massacre Records didn't hesitate to sign the band and Zombie Inc.'s debut album „A Dreadful Decease“ was released in October 2011.

The lyrical themes are about apocalyptic visions of a world, overloaded by infected Zombies. The music of „A Dreadful Decease“, written by Wolfgang Rothbauer ( Disbelief, Eisblut, In Slumber, Thirdmoon, GodHateCode) and Gerald Huber (Collapse 7), is dull ambienced, embraced by eerieness and keeps a zombified atmosphere from the first to the last note, which appears rarely in today’s metal world. With „A Dreadful Decease“, Zombie Inc. represents the music and ideology of old school death metal!!!
