Louis Hayes

Annotation

A major drummer of the hard-bop period, Mr Hayes recorded both as a leader and as a sideman.
Associated with the Adderleys during the early 60's, he demonstrated he was not limited to bop with adventurous collaborations, with both Cecil Taylor and John Coltrane.
While he can be heard on a consequent number of records, spanning half a century, a very good starter may be one of his very late album, Dreamin' of Cannonball (TCB).
