Annotation

Sailcat was a short-lived American southern rock and roll band. They had just one hit single in the summer of 1972 with the song "Motorcycle Mama". An album by the same title was released the same year on Elektra which was produced by guitar virtuoso Pete Carr who also played on the album. The force behind Sailcat is/was John Wyker and Court Pickett. In 2002 John Wyker released his first solo album, 30 years after his first.
