"You know what's awesome but expensive?
The sound of a burning piano."
- Eileen

Canada is a seven piece musical collective hailing from the Ann Arbor/Ferndale (Detroit-ish) area of Michigan. Canada was conceived on November 18th 2004. A group of long-time friends, who all happened to play various musical machines, gathered together in a basement full of rain and chandaliers and began writing. Shortly after, they convened in summer 2005 on Vorhies farm in Ann Arbor, Michigan and crafted their songs from the air and from the earth. From these gatherings came the How Dare You demos.

Canada secluded themselves away on July 7-9 2005 in Lansing, Michigan recording studio Deep Deep Pink and recorded their first EP with one magnificant John Krohn, recording master extraordinaire, who has recorded such fantastic acts such as The Word Play, The Pop Project, El Boxeo, and The Recital. The EP is available at all Canada shows or by contacting us via email. If you or anyone you know has need of a band like Canada for a show, please contact us. canada.music@gmail.com. We will gladly play music for you and yours.

Canada had it's very first show on August 25th 2005 at The Magic Stick in Detroit with Great Lakes Myth Society, Rescue and The Silent Years and it was fantastically incredible.

Canada's first full length LP, This Cursed House, is now available @ www.quitescientific.com
