The Frog CDs are the definitive version of this group's works. Between those three volumes, they include all the originally released sides and all alternate takes. (Also included are four sides originally released as The Chocolate Dandies.)

The Frog releases do not include tracks originally released by Jean Goldkette and his Orchestra which do appear on some other collections. The Goldkette group shared some personnel with McKinney's Cotton Pickers.
