Тайный Заговор

Tainyi Zagovor is one of the most successful hip-hop bands of Ukraine. The history of the band has started in 2002, when Denys Davydov aka XALIF MASTA with some adherents from Chernihiv City organized the music band called Tainyi Zagovor. Young but ambitious band leader has drawn up the extensive plans for the success of his new project. Soon Tainyi Zagovor attracted an attention of Ukrainian hip-hop music fans. In 2003, the band took part in the large festivals in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Luhansk and Lviv.

In 2003 the band also started the work on the first album “Isterika v Stereo” (Hysterics in Stereo), which has been released by MOON Records recording company in July 2006. This debut release was aimed at showing the musicians as they are in a common life, without any posing at present day stamps and trends or snatching a large sum. There was no need in proving of being “the real”, since the album tracks has shown them so as they were familiar to friends and relatives. The songs were apprehended by the audience as the band diary pages. That might be the reason of gaining the popularity and receiving the encouragement from other famous musicians and beat makers.

The second album “Bestseller” has been released in April 2008. It brought together both lyrical and west-like swaying tracks at the same time, keeping the main ideology of the band unchanged. This resulted in substantial audience widening. The songs “Dum Spiro Spero”, “Kachaysia s nami” (Sway yourself with us), “Spraga” (Thirst) were recorded together with Dilya (the front man of NeDilya, ex-member of TNMK). These tracks have confidently entered the air, and the video works have hit the top charts of Ukrainian music TV channels.

Despite the general tendency towards the CD sells decrease, “Bestseller” continues to be in popular demand. Its tracks are promoted through on-line services, as well as through music collection CD releases. Interestingly, the CD album “Bestseller” of Tainyi Zagovor was the only hip-hop project album of the 2008 year, which includes Ukrainian songs.

Now the band is working on the third album, which will be the solo project of the front man XALIF MASTA. Many new ideas were realized, which revised the way of Tainyi Zagovor song writing. However, the band doesn’t betray their main principles of creative work. That is writing about the feelings, about the bother, about the thoughts. That is also being what they are without any posing as somebody else.

Tainyi Zagovor continues to give the concerts, including club performances, big festivals, non-commercial charity actions. Day by day, the new page has been created in the living chronicle of the band.
