Minimal electronic act Weltklang was founded by Thomas Voburka in 1980 in Schwerin (German Democratic Republic).
Their first 7" "Veb Heimat/Hoffnung / Sehnsucht?" was released on the Berlin based Exil-System label and became an underground hit in the western world too.
On Weltklang's 25th Anniversary in 2005, Voburka reformed Weltklang together with London based engineer and programmer René Steuns. Since then they have worked together on numerous Remixes and have played several live shows throughout Europe.
