Erdmöbel are a German Pop band with German lyrics. Their style is defined by a combination of German and international mainstream entertainment music in the spirit of the 60s and 70s with acoustic instruments and electronic elements from vintage to contemporary style. Their lyrics as well as recurring reference to outdated entertainment culture result in a poetic, ironic and tender mood. Their 2007 cover album of worldwide Number one hits shows how much they enjoy taking existing material (songs, styles), preferably popular, to transform it by instilling elements from their very characteristic world into it.
