Annotation

This compilation was released against the wishes of Pulp by Fire Records, aiming to capitalize on the group's success on Island. It made available many rare early Pulp recordings, including some that perhaps Pulp wanted to forget. Frontman Jarvis Cocker wrote liner notes for the compilation, but these were replaced with ones written by Clive Solomon, boss of Fire Records.

The Compilation includes: -Little Girl EP (1985); -Dogs Are Everywhere EP (1986); -They Suffocate At Night Single (1986); -Master Of The Universe Single (1987), though the second b-side of this, "Silence" was left off at Pulp's request.
