This is Ella final release for Capitol, with, huh, quite a few tunes performed as medley (apparently as to get rid of her contractual obligations in just one release).
It's also possibly the best of the four she made for Capitol - the three other being quite forgettable.
Note that Ella doesn't sing on Don't Blame Me, Just Friends, Ebb Tide, I Got It Bad, Spring is Here, Taking a Chance.
Another cut was recorded during this session (Hawaian War Chant) which is bundled with this in recent editions (was previously available as a single).
