Not a normal record label. This page is for records occasionally given away free with the UK's Mail on Sunday. All releases should be marked as "promo".
from discogs page:
This is a pseudo-label on Discogs, not an actual one.
It groups together all the releases that were given away free with the British newspaper, The Mail On Sunday.
Note: Many of these releases were done via the labels/promotional companies Upfront or Carbon Music Ltd, but not all, hence why this label exists to group these newspaper releases together on a single page.
Parent Label: The Daily Mail
The Mail on Sunday is a British conservative newspaper, published in a tabloid format. Launched in 1982 by Lord Rothermere, it became Britain's biggest-selling Sunday newspaper following the closing of News of the World in July 2011. Its sister paper, the Daily Mail, was first published in 1896.
In July 2011, with the closure of the News of the World, The Mail on Sunday sold some 2.5 million copies a week, but by September that had fallen back to just under 2 million. It is owned by the Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT), but the editorial staff are entirely separate from the Daily Mail. It had an average daily circulation of 1,555,977 in March 2014.
